I ordered a custom-made piece as a house-warming gift for my best friends, who live in another country. Therefore I was never able to inspect the item myself, but here is what they said about it: "The quality of it is unbelievable - they've used half a dozen shades of grey to get her face right and the craftsmanship on the whole thing is absolutely top notch. We LOVE the Ukrainian border and collar - LOVE it!!! [My wife] just started to cry the minute she set her eyes on it. I was brave. I held out for 30 seconds..." For my part, the interaction with the artist was great. He answered my queries quickly and had a fast turn-around time for the piece and was able to ship it remarkably quickly, considering it is coming from a war-torn country. I love my pet portrait, purchased as a gift. The dogs are instantly recognizable, with great attention to detail -- colors, expressions, even personalities come shining through. Artfully done, the design is pleasing and well balanced, and the colors are gorgeous in their subtlety, even though both dogs are brown in color, and I was afraid the effect would be dull.
